Welcome to Little People First Aid.
We are a specialised first aid training business. Our main focus is on training you - the parent, grandparent, babysitter, caregiver, or nanny - so you can effectively administer first aid to children. We want you to be able to confidently respond to comfort, assist recovery and perhaps even save the life of a precious young one.
We provide:
- Specialised paediatric first aid and CPR courses
- Highly qualified, experienced and motivated instructors
- Flexible, personalised and varied venues (even at your poolside)
Drawing on the most current first aid practices and procedures, you will be trained to not only know what to do, but also be equipped with the practical situational rehearsals that are the foundation of effective training. Our highly qualified and keen instructors will apply their years of paramedic and paediatric nursing experience to bring you an engaging, informative, enjoyable and empowering experience.
If you participate and apply yourself, you will emerge from your Little People First Aid Course trained, competent and confident. Should you need to administer first aid or CPR to your babies, children or teenagers - you will be ready!
Birthed out of recognised need
Little People First Aid was birthed after founder Tracey Chapman observed that there was a critical need at community level for such a service Parents and carers need access to specialised paediatric first aid and CPR courses, run by specialist trainers. Little People First Aid meets that need.

As business principal and Lead Trainer, Tracey Chapman has 28 years of hands on experience in the medical profession, initially as a registered nurse, then as a midwife, and currently as a paramedic.
During frequent calls to homes of injured or sick children, Tracey saw again and again the consequences of both good and bad first aid responses.
Tracey's vision, and that of all the trainers, is that Little People First Aid will help there be more good responses, comfort given, healing aided and lives saved. The reality is that parents, grandparents, and caregivers need to be proficient in all aspects of paediatric first aid and resuscitation, as they are usually the first respondents to a crisis situation, and they may be the only help available for a grievously long time.
Little People First Aid observes and teaches within the guidelines of the Australian Resuscitation Council, the body that represents all major groups involved in the teaching and practice of resuscitation in Australia. We also are a training partner, affiliated with the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) APL Group, RTO number 3586.
